Bio

Rainy Kirkland, the author of Falcon’s Curse, Bewitching Kisses, andSilver Flames, has made a name for herself with readers of historical fiction. Originally from Maryland, she graduated from the University of Maryland and then spent two years in the Peace Corps. Assigned to Jamaica, which was once a haven for pirates, Rainy developed a fascination with the island culture and an interest in the concepts of witchcraft and voodoo, all of which played a part in the development of Falcon’s Curse.

Rainy continued her fascination with the occult and after extensive research into the Salem Witch Trials, the seed for Bewitching Kisses germinated. Nominated for the Romantic Times’ Best Historical Romance Colonial Setting, Bewitching Kisses went on to win a Romantic Times K.I.S.S Award.

The setting for Bewitching Kisses moved from Salem Massachusetts to Colonial Williamsburg, which was then called Middle Plantation. There the characters of the silver smith Christopher Carlson and the innkeeper, Abigail Barclay came to life. Silver Flames was honored as a National Reader’s Choice Award Winner.

An award winning scrap booker and rubber stamp card designer, Rainy retired from teaching in New Jersey and moved to Florida. She has now returned to writing full time and is very excited about e-publication of her modern day murder mystery series Florida Heat.

Florida Heat and Deadly Revenge are the first two in this fast paced series. Street Stalker - the third in this series is now available.
